Try Eagle F1s, on my M3 they have made the ride and steering a lot better, don't know about wear yet only done a 1,000 miles so far.

Goodyear F1: On my heavy (1600+ kg) MB C43, they have so far lasted 20.000 km with a fairly heavy foot, a mix of B roads and motorway, and excellent grip dry & wet.

do any of you guys with F1's get any tramlining because they are a directional tyre?

just checked my last tyre receipt - only got 15,000 miles from this set of Rosso's - that has got to be bad.

Certainly the Rossos tramline pretty badly - especially in the snow!

I got Dunlop Sports all round and they seem pretty good. Try Eventmobiletyres.com for a good price not sure what they'd be for Pirelli's but Dunlops are around £125 for fronts and £160 for rears. My brother bought his pirelli's for his prosche from them and is happy.

I do not seem to be having any problems tramlining, Had to spend a lot of time messing with pressures to get the front end to go round corners in the damp though ok in the wet and dry just don't seem to like the damp.

Best not to mix brands between front and rear.
I tried F1s rear and Pilot Sport front on an M Roadster. Hopeless.
Changed all 4 to Pilot Sport 2 --brilliant.
