Think my automatic E39 just stalled!!!!!!

Hi there, hope someone can help me figure out whats happening to my car. Was driving home last night and noticed that the engine was sounding different...louder and more laboured. Anyway, was at a red light and when it went green i gently pressed the gas pedal and it took a second or two before the wheels moved...during this time the engine was making a noise that sounded like it was mis-firing. At the next red light, the sam thing happened except this time the car completelt stalled!! Am not sure what the problem could be, I take really good care of the car (in fact probably too good...) and have it serviced regularly....could it be something to do with the cold weather?

I'd appreciate any help you guys can give!

Hi,

Sounds like your camshaft sensor to me. Hopefully nothing more serious.
