Hi,

I have just ordered my 3rd 530D (should take delivery around Jan) and thought I would ask the obvious question, does anyone have any views or information regarding how the TV can be viewed when the vehicle is moving as my passengers find it annoying when we get caught in traffic and so can apply handbrake and view the TV only to have the picture turned off once moving again (searched the forum before submitting this, so hope this is not duplicate question). Thanks for any info.

I was told there was a 'turn on' code for this?

Had mine done by BMW speacialist in St Ives 01480 463000. Charged me £25 and reset it on the computer.

Works fine.

I assume that means there is a turn on code for this rather than hardware.

sounds right, he plugged in his tablet pc, and the menu had "TV on / off"

the only time was him rechecking it worked, and leaving ignition off for 5 minutes or so.
