.....that could give me a guided tour of thier motor detailing the 'Gotchas' for a prospective buyer?

I am looking for a 540 Auto (sport or SE?)non-nikasil model for around the £8K mark.

cheers for any help

(p.s. chaps ...are there many interior trim differences between the SE & Sport models?)

Ive got a 540sport (2000x), and so far havn't had any problems.(approved used bmw)
When i was looking for mine, the only thing i noticed was the trim going around the edge of the windows starts to blister, some more than others.

Apart from that, just make sure the paint is good and
everything works.
Heres a couple of mine:

very nice eliot......the interior really does 'tick all the right boxes' for me,i.e. comfort and gadgets......i would like a light/bright, coloured interior with a dark exterior( Black or Blue)....your wheels look v.nice BTW.

i was thinking of slapping a set of 18" Alpina wheels on a 540 .....very common , i know...but they don't look out of place do they?

cheers for your reply

p.s. have any 5 series owners got experience of the BMW 'comms pack'? i.e. TV /Sat Nav etc ?....any good/any comments on whether it's worth looking out for while prospectively purchasing?

All my cars for the last 10 years have had black interiors, which matches the colour of my pistonheads fleece which matches the colour of Oil!
