Hello,

Firstly, this isn't an advert :-)

- I am starting to think about selling one of my cars and, although I have a fair idea of value, I would be interested to hear views on how much you think it's worth and why (all things taken into consideration)

- If it's not worth what I hope it is, I won't bother advertising. I will keep it, probably for ever! It spends most of it's time in the garage with the other toys as it is, but I'd like to make some room for another Porsche!

It's a K reg BMW 320i 24v coupe - there aren't many left like this. It's a fantastic example with only 2 owners from new (including myself).

I bought it 2 years ago with only 30,000 genuine miles (now covered 46000 miles) with a Full BMW service history with the same supplying Dealership
(Millcars, Temple Fortune).

It's in one of the best colours - Jet black with full Raven Black leather interior. It's fitted with the BMW "M" Sports body pack which includes the 16" Double spoke alloys and clear indicators.

It was also fitted with what seems like every optional extra including the Climate air conditioning,
Electric tilt/slide sunroof, Full electrics, Power steering, ABS, the non-smoking pack, BMW remote alarm/Immobiliser, etc etc. It even has the original Pioneer stereo and first aid kit.

Now, when I bought it, I bought it directly from an insurance company I deal with. It had been stolen from the Original owner (who I have since been in touch with -he sent me the spare keys, stereo fascia etc!).

It was recovered totally undamaged apart from some minor scratches from storage and the ignition barrel being forced. It has now been fully returned to original and as I said, I have added 16,000 miles without incident. I do not know for sure if it's HPi listed, but would assume it is probably Cat D.

The annoying thing is that it has never been in an accident, but as it was stolen, it's really just been driven by someone who shouldn't have driven it!

Any views appreciated! i.e Mileage+condition vs Hpi

Geri.

I would have said 3 to 3.5k - unfortunately the HPI listing (if it has one) can scare people off.

However, I am sure I will be corrected

If I understand correctly it is a very early E36. The spec sounds good but it is a pre face lift model. The 320 is generally considered less desireable than 318is or the 325.

I would have to agree with the 3 to 3.5K, but it needs to be adjusted down because of the HPI issue. So probably 2.5 to 3K.

That's just my opinion. I'm not a trader.

Keep it, it's worth a lot more to you than anybody else.

I would echo the thoughts already posted, somewhere around £2.5-3k due to the HPi status. I personally would keep it.

Good Point: I forgot to mention that I did have the facelift done, when the scratches were repaired (it was put on an expensive p/plate!).

yep it's early, but it has the newer front grille panel and the newer grille. I took photos beforehand to support that the originals weren't damaged - I had just sold my Boxster and wanted a car that still looked slightly expensive, so I wasn't at all worried what it cost to get to a comparable condition!

To get a better idea perhaps:

It's worth what ever someone's prepared to pay for it at the end of the day. If it's 'sort after' then perhaps it may make £3K-£3.5K.
However, just to highlight a point, personally I'm not in the market for such a car and would be shocked to pay more than £1K for a mainstream car of that age.

From looking on AutoTrader the prices can be all over the place, with 'straight' looking cars from £2k up to £4k so I'd pitch it in the middle, with the condition and the mileage offsetting the unfortunate history so £3k
and just the sort of thing I'll be looking for, for racegirl in February

Might be interested in this for my sister. We have one 320 coupe on an L and as my sisters are twins we like to get them matching cars. I will speak to my mechanic and get a feeling for what he thinks it's worth.
