Chaps, any pointers to resources on the 1975-1982 3 series would be appreciated - I fancy buying one of these as a cheap London runabout; have decided owning expensive cars in London is pointless, and am joining The Classic Car Club. Looking for an absolutely mint E21 3231 - but getting nowhere...

Thanks in advance!

Jaymic (01263 511710) are worth a try to see if they know of any customer selling thier cars.

Alternatively Laserchrom Motorsport (01634 295003) usually have 2 or 3 for sale.

E21s are solid cars, I had a 320 for a run around a couple of years ago. Was considering putting wipers on the side windows before I sold it

No luck

Seems these cars are getting pretty rare.

Try BMW Car Mag classifieds section, there's usually a few knocking around there.

It's a shame they haven't got the cult following the '02 series did, that's why there's so few of them left.

you could also try the BMW Car Club website as well, there are always one or two on there

I sold mine a few months ago.

A far better car than the E30. Apart from a late 325 of course.

You will have a fight on your hands to get a good one. I spent about 18 months before I found mine> there are so may uncared for examples out there, unless you're willing to pay heavy money.

Very rare to find a 323i in good order thats up for sale.

I like the E21's retro 70's looks, and it's rather rarer/more individual than the E30, of which there are thousands (especially here in S.London, with big chrome wheels and silly spoilers).

An E30 could be tempting - a late 325 Sport, but that would sort of destroy the point of my mission: part of the reason for the E21 is classic insurance, and cheap to buy (I hope).

And they go sideways much more easily.

Not much help to you, but racedad used to have an E21 323i, his 1st BMW, metalic silver with Gold BBS cross spokes
