I have a 1989 touring which i have upgraded just about everything.I have rebuilt the engine using the ETA crank and rods to give a longer stroke and a larger displacement (nearly 2.7).
The block has been decked, everthing lightened and balanced,Shrick 272 cam,Kent vernier pulley,Magnex manifolds and system,Magnecor ign leads,K&N induction and a modified ecu on Bexley's rolling road.
It is putting out over 200BHP and about 215lb/ft of torque.
The engine was rebuilt using new bearings on reground lightened and balanced crank, oil pump etc.
The diff is LSD and the suspension bushes are all poly ones with Bilstein gas dampers on lowered springs.I have fitted Eibach ARB's with poly bushes and an Eibach alloy strut brace.
The seats are Recaro cloth.
The front brakes are bigger using Wilwood 4 pots.
I have done about 18K in the car since with full synth oil changes every 6 months or 5K whichever sooner.
Overall the car is in very good condition with minor corrosion here and there.
The problem i have is should i sell it, and what would it be worth, or i fancy the idea of putting the engine and box in a TVR and breaking the rest.
Or should i strip out most of the interior and lighten other areas and use it for hillclimbing.
What do you think?
I've over £3K in the engine alone.
