Who thinks that you could order one of these, run it for a year and get most of your money back due to the limited supply numbers each year? Just want to get an idea, if prices hold up i could do 6-8k miles in a year and sell it for list price?

Thoughts?

Firstly, If you haven't got one on order already it is too late for the anticipated 1st year allocation, unless you find a remote dealer with no list (unlikely as they probably wouldn't get an allocation anyway). Secondly, I think it is unlikely - the recent history tells a different story. I had an E39 M5 which after 12k was worth £20k under list, and have a CSL which at 4 months old and a few thousand miles is probably worth £15k under list (lucky I didn't pay list and bought it for pleasure not investment). I have an E60 M5 on order and don't expect to see my money back, unless I sold it within weeks of delivery (as I'm scheduled for May/June 05 delivery).

I would anticipate that the build numbers will increase from those mooted at the moment.

Look at the SL ,, massive waitting lists to start with but by the amount up for sale Mercedes seems to have ramped up production to an incredible level

Im sure BMW will do the same .
