Hi, quick question - does anyone know if it's possible to fit a detachable towing hook to an E45 M3 Convertible?

I guess you mean E46 M3 - if so, the answer is no as the back box gets in the way. It can however be done on an E39 M5 (although some dealers will try to tell you otherwise)

Bit confused on this one as I would agree that the rear exhaust box would get in the way.

But when you look at the E46 M3 Digital Brochure - check out page 10! It advertises a detachable towing hitch for the M3 Convertible... Maybe it’s just generic accessories?

That brochure is incorrect - above the towbar it also offers 16" & 17" wheel options. Std fitment is 18" and option is for 19".
