Hi,

Has anyone done a rolling road test with a relatively stock 850CSi? A friend of mine had his tested on the same dyno as I used for my ZR-1. Both of our cars are rated at around 375bhp, and the dyno showed us within 1 or 2hp.

The question we have is the dyno said we were both getting around 246kW at the crank. If this is really at the crank, then we should both be at around 280kW.

Either the dyno is off, or we both have a problem resulting in the same loss of rated power.

Thanks,

Ken

Don't forget that the only measurement that can be taken from rolling roads is the power at the wheels.

Everything else is calculated - if the calculation factor is slightly off then so will all the all the other 'results'!

and also that most manufacturers quoted power outputs are with the engine on a dyno bed, with no ancillaries.

Use the information as a guide. The rolling road could be out of tune and not your cars.
