Picked up the 320d on saturday and very nice it is as well.
One thing that is annoying me is the bluetooth kit.

I know it will not work with my p800 (I have a t630 arriving tomorrow) but I wanted to see how the pairing worked so I had a go

Realised that the 3 seconds on the book is really more like 2 then got the pairing sorted. Worked very well.
Then I noticed that there was already a load of numbers in there (the car is second had) so I reset the whole phonebook deciding to leave it till I got the right phone.

At this point I realised that when the key is in position 1 there is a lot of 'noise' from the speakers even with the stereo off.

I know I'm not going to sit about with the key in position 1 much but it is annoying and I'd like to stop it, any ideas?

I am having similar aggro with my bluetooth in the 330CS.

Constant buzzing and bad reception.

Glad I didn't fork out for the kit - just happened to have it.

I belive there is a firmware upgrade for the bluetooth implementation in the car, not sure where I read that though. I'll see how my T630 fares tomorrow.

It's not possible to upgrade the Bluetooth software at the dealer - it has to be returned to Visteon.

Well there is a thing, how very handy. I bet all they will do is plug in a laptop and blow an eprom (or whatever they are called), this sort of thing should be able to be carried out by the user never mind the dealer!

Yeah. To be fair the Satnav software can be done 'at-home', engine software done at the dealer - just for some reason the bluetooth is hardware only, which is a shame as they added SMS support later on and you can't get it on earlier cars.

T630 arrived today, connected and works!

However, it seems to have merged the phonebook on my sim (old stuff I no longer want but am unable to delete) with the phonebook in the phone!

In an effort to sort this I have deleted the lot and then copied the phone book in the phone over the one on the sim (thus overwriting it). I did wonder if there was a better way of doing this..

Next

the microphone?? Where on earth is it? People said I was getting louder as I spoke nearer the mirrir, however I could not see anything that was obviously a microphone.

Lastly, and off subject a little, should a 320cd coupe have a torch in the glovebox? Cos mine (4 months old) seems not to have one.

Thanks

David
