I'm in love with a 2.8 anybody have knowledge on MPG -country/town mostly.

With your logon name shouldnt you be after an M roadster

Well spotted - used my sons log in - he's in the TVR and Ferrari league. I'm just a beginner!

standard 2.8 should get 27-ish, though 30+ is possible with a steady right foot.

We're now supercharged and have seen 11 on track to 31 on a gentle run (now 43k miles).

The car has horrendous drag so the speed makes a big difference.

MZ3's really have a problem in comparison.

Had a single vanos 2.8 Z3 never got more than 27mpg average was 22-23mpg. Short range as the tank is pretty small.

The E46 328 auto we had at the same time would get up to 34 mpg and averaged 26 mpg.

In my little ///M I get 250 miles on a tank of optimax (£36ish). The Z3's have the smallest petrol tank in God's earth......but loads of fun to drive!

My dads 2.8 used to average 29mpg overall... sadly it is now gone,, luckily a Z4 3.0 in its place
