Hi.

I wonder if anyone can help me....

Not sure if I have a problem with my E39 M5 accelerating.

How quickly should the M5 accelerate from being still?

....and ... what speed should the M5 reach in 1st and then 2nd gear?

I have another issue....

How do I adjust the height of my selt belt (on the side, where it comes out).

I can move it up but it won't stay where I move it, it just move back down to the lowest point.

I'm told that this should move automatically as the chair is moved back but mine doesn't (on either driver or passenger) - have I a problem or is there something I've overlooked??

Quite new to the BMW so any help much appreaciated.

Thanks in advance - Darren

The seatbelt should raise and lower automatically - if it doesn't then it looks like someone has got fed up with it not being quite right for them and "adjusted it manually".

1st should get you to an indicated 40-ish mph, and 2nd to about 70mph!
