I had a letter from them earlier this year in relation to my first one (a 2001 car that was stolen in 2002 - and I told them at the time, the idiots!). I think they offered it for £450.

I think it's a no-brainer.

No brainer. Pay it.

Anything goes wrong with one of these puppies it it MUCHO EXPENSIVO.

In the time I've had the 328i and the 330CS I have had

(1) 3 batteries
(2) 1 exhaust
(3) six ingnition coils
(4) new aircon system

About £4k worth.

Go figure

True, but I am not convinced.

If a ten thousand pound part has a one in a thousand chance per year of breaking, that's a tenner a year of risk.

For this, BMW Warranty would have to charge you at least a tenner a year to make a profit.

Like all insurances, only get one if you can't afford the cost of the thing you are protecting.

I am not expecting the engine in my 530 to go south anytime soon.

I agree, it's a no brainer. Work it out per day. I just renewed mine, which was £510. Over a year that works out at £1.39 a day........

£510 won't cover the cost of the front subframe bushes/control arms which last no time on an E46.....

Also remember that with the warranty you get european wide emergency service which is worth the peace of mind alone! It dosen@t just help if you breakdown, there are a whole host of benefits to it.

I would renew it. I too was a cynic but learned my lesson after a £2500 bill.

The warranty includes a top rate (in my experience) recovery service and covers a whole host of components including battery and exhaust.

Anyway, your car, your money - your choice.

I agree with PP. Total peace of mind. The recovery service is worth £130 alone
