buying a 98/99 735i ?

Hi folks,
New to BMW forum. I am looking at buying a 98/99 735i. Any words of wisdom on areas to be wary of ?. It has 55k with a FBMW SH. Hoping to test drive on Friday.
It is blue with sand leather and condition is as new.
How long should these cars go for without major expenditure (I do about 30K PA)?
Cam belt change costs & mileage that this is due?
What should I be paying (Non BMW dealer took it in PX)? Is it a S6 or V8
Any guidance / info / comments would be really appreciated.
