Hi,

After owning my car for a few months now I've discovered some small niggles. Otherwise very pleased!

It's a '96 E36 M3 convertible.

When taking the roof down the lid opens and the roof catches against it. Seems the roof isn't coming back far enough in to clear the lid. Would this be a tension strap that needs replacing?

The other one is with all the rain and my car parked on a slope it's taking in a bit of water! This is at the front of the roof at both corners. I expect a bit of rain but this is too much for my liking!! Maybe just the rubber seals need changing?

Cheers all.

I once had quite a bit of water drip inside at the same place, both front corners. It turned out to be the way the roof had been closed. I took it down and put it back up... no problems after that.

About the roof catching, is it a power hood?

Hi,

Yes it's a power hood.
