Any suggestions where I might get a good quote for insurance on my '01 M5. I'm over 30 with 5 years NCB and a 4 year old speeding offence (in a 1.6 405 at 4:30 AM no less!)

Who can predict what factors an insurance company uses? Call at least 5, and up to 10 - it will pay - there must be plenty listed on the oily pages.

Autotraders website insurance search is pretty good, better than confused IMO.

Liverpool Vic got to be worth a call.

I've tried them the last two years for my M3 and they have been rubbish - their cheapest quote has been several hundred pounds more than Tesco each time.

Sorry to hijack, but could anyone offer an indication of the difference between m3 and m5 insurance. I'd figure they would be fairly similarly rated?

thanks,
D
