Guys,

Had a flat battery on my Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo [E34], so bought a new one but had to jump start it to get it out of the garage in order to fit the new one.

After the car started from the jump I got a dash error saying "Check Tacho - Refer to Owners Handbook".

Car runs fine but this error is annoying at best and worrying at worst - I'm guessing the jump start has upset some electronics somewhere.

Can anyone help?

Dave.

I would disconnect teh battery for 10 minutes, then reconnect.

Probably thrown up because of the initial problem

Don't have radio code otherwise would be happy to try!!

[When I changed the battery I had a spare connected to the 12v post in the engine bay]

Do you know any garages with a diagnostic fault reader?

Hi Ken,

I'm going to ring Barney at ML this morning !

Thanks for the help!

If anyone actually knows what this Code Tacho means, I would be interested to find out...

Thanks,

Dave.
