Been thinking about this as a bit of a weekend/fun car, only thing that concerns me is the auto box...any thoughts guys

In two words... do it! Been in one of these and they're very quick, handle well and sound fantastic. Can't offer any info concerning the 'box though.

i thought the C2 only came as a coupe?

Have a butchers on the E30 Zone for loads of info.

Quite a few guys on there have C2s.

Theres one of those at a garage I pass every morning, looks very nice, but are they really worth £7k on a G plate

And just worked out from the pictures the one I pass is the one in the original picture

It might be rare but I don't think it's worth £7k

A good E30 M3 on a G plate will be £7K or more - the Alpina is far more exclusive IMO.

They are crazy cars. Proper driving machine.

The value of old Alpinas is quite subjective. If its been maintained as it shoule be, it represents a hell of a lot of fun, and a crash course in communicative driving.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, been off line for a week.....

Raceboy, yes its on way into Notts, defo same one, had afew looks round it, but not got behind the wheel yet, just counting the pennies.

Cheers for all the repiles everyone, need to do some research....

Still concerned about that auto box on tracks

You could get a Switchlogic box fitted.

I'm pretty sure Birds do them.
