Picking up a 1997 E39 tomorrow. Cant wait

metallic blue with light brown leather, and M5 wheels.

Can people reccommend good www sites for all the extras (light upgrages, trim etc)

Great car, only sold mine on to finance Griff. Looking to get another soon, the only saloon car that I would buy again and again.

Hi David,

Looks like we have a lot in common! I too have a 4.3 Griff, have a past involving wedges, but unfortunately am not a man of leisure!

Enjoying the relaxed luxurious motoring the Beamer provides! Contrasts well with the electrifying “seat of yer pants” stuff provided by Griff!!

Hi Thatch,

Small world, I really miss my 523i, strange thing is the fuel consumption on it was around 37 mpg cruising at M.Way speeds. Around town never less than 27mpg.
Do a long distance drive of 250 miles and still fresh for more.I just need to convince my wife that we need to replace it with another. Running around in a Fiat Punto 1.1 its OK for shops but go on a run and
Enjoy your BMW, lucky s*d
