M5 Estate???

please don't flame me but did BMW ever make an M5 estate?

i've heard rumours of a previous generation 5-series tourer test mule fitted with all the M5 gubbindge but at Santa Pod i saw the generation before that (stopped production in about '95-96) Tourer with all the M5 gear on...

if it wasn't genuine it all looked very real - you don't see too many of that shape M5's about but from the one's i have seen it looked absolutely perfect... just with a bigger boot!

is this a real car or just some imaginative badging? or possibly an interesting engine swap???

Yes they did in the mid 1990s. LHD only from memory.

There is allegedly one RHD conversion too.

They made 8 hundred odd and they were all LHD, and all the 340bhp 6 speed. Fromwhat i've heard they are awesome (and rare in this country, i think there's only about 15-20)

converted by Munich Legends a while back at some silly cost but from what I've seen of it they've done a pretty good job
