E36 320i Fuel Pipe

I noticed that after every cold start and even fresh top up the fuel gage would drop significantly. After searching high and low I eventually found the fuel pipe under the bonnet. Saw some greasy dirty build up around the top end. Wiped it away and started engine on to see fuel gushering out!!
So had new pipe fitted and it now does better mileage per 6 litres of fuel than before I noticed the problem.

Any one had similar issues??
