As you can probably tell by the posting (no E model number) I don't know much about BMW's. Anyway I need an occasional use car that can also carry wife and baby and I stumbles across this.

my perception is that these 3 series can go on forever, any comments good or bad, fair price ?.

I've got a E30 325i auto cabrio on a 'G' plate and am very happy with it. Lovely yo drive, is quite economic on a run and not too bad around town and goes quite rapidly thank you (I've seen well over a ton on a the speedo numerous times!). Mines only done 43,000 ish miles from new. Price on that one seems fair enough but without looking at it in the flesh.

If its all sound ... go for it.
