Just a quickie, I replaced the rocker cover gasket today as it was leaking all over the place.

Whilst in there I had a poke and prod around, absolutely no wear on the cams at all, as good as new. These things have covered 165k, I couldn't believe it, absolutely perfect.

Just thought I would share it with you all ....

Not quite as impressive as your 165k but I did my rocker cover too the other week, 88k and everything looking like new!

Cheers,
Rob

165k is impressive but i'm in your slipstream as i have a E36 320i with 163k...ooh yeah! as it happens i also had my rocker replaced about a month ago at the same time had gearbox service (auto) and inspection 2 with engine flush. gearbox machanic and BM servicing machanic told me the insides were 'like new' and i dint even need a gearbox service...its never had one before, the old engine oil about 9-10,000 miles old was still golden.
