being an ex-TVR owner I am un-decided which car to buy next. I like the 330Ci and the M3 - does anyone have any observations on the relative merits?

You'll get a 330 delivered a lot sooner than an M3, but you'll always regret not buying the M. Drive them both and you'll see why.

Eastern BMW in Edinburgh have a silver M3 for sale at £46K...

I've got the 330 sport and have driven a mate's M3. The M3 is a diffent beast - hugely quicker and sharper and well worth the extra £10k especially when you'd get this back in residual value. I regret not being patient enough to wait for one.....

How much legroom is there in the back of the 330i and the M3?

only tried it once but at 6ft I was v comfortable. bit narrow to sit 3 abreast though
