Help,

I bought some indicators from BMW last week, and am at a loss as to fitting them. The car is a 2000 740. I have inserted the tiny repeaters, but cant work out the main lights.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On my 1994 E38 (pre-facelift, mind) the front indicators were retained by a spring clip arrangement inside the wing. Open the bonnet, look for holes in the top of the wing about 5 inches back from the indicator unit. Futz around that hole with a long screwdriver, and you may find the whole thing comes loose. This was a long time ago though.

Be glad you're not in an E34 5 series trying to accomplish the same thing: the indicators are held in by three invisible and inaccessible screws.

Rears, if you've got them, are easy - three bolts to undo behind the trim in the boot.
