Hi All,

I have been trying to sell my 318i S Coupe on 1993 L reg for a couple of weeks now. I have recieved no calls despite it being on PH classifieds, Autotrader Magazine and Internet and E36coupe.com and I am a bit miffed!

I have based the value on others on the market and feel that mine is one of the best around - perhaps I am a bit bias - but it is pretty much immaculate, full BMW history apart from one stamp and a shed load of reciepts. It has done 111k miles, in dark green and totally original (most seem to have M3 wheels or spoilers or kits or something bling style!)

I am looking to acheive £3k for it so advertised it for £3,200 which I thought would be a fair price.

What are your views? has anyone bought similar car recently for a cheaper price? Have I advertised in the right place - someone suggested ebay, has anyone had any experience of selling cars through ebay?

All help would be appreciated

Cheers

Simon

Price seems about right, but if it's not moving you might have to try it a little cheaper
Shame your not anywhere near me, 318iS's are on the list for the new racegirl motor and £3-£3.5k is the budget, got one at a local dealer for £2.5k but he's not stating the year or the mileage, so I'm guessing 92 J and round the world mileage

I have been finding exactly the same problems! trying to sell my 318is (1998) and have been struggling to get any interest at all. I have had it in the Auto Trader for 4 weeks and received just 1 call, it has also been on E-bay and max bid was £4500!!!!!

I had the same problem selling my 92 model three years ago. I think a lot of people are scared of big bills as BMW's get older...

In my experience that should not be the case, I have owned mine for 3 years and covered 30K miles (total of 60k) and had no expense other than regular service and tyres!
