Might not be.

I knew someone who used to buy new cars and first job was to buy cheap ste seat covers and put them on all 4 seats.

I know several of their cars where the seats had only been sat on once before they sold the car maybe 2-3 years later.

And these weren't special cars either!
Our childhood neighbours used to do this, put seat covers on their new Mazda 818 and later Toyota Carina. They used to run their cars in to the ground, so they'd be battered, but with perfect seats. My Dad always wondered who they were saving the seats for.

Got rid of diamond cut as it's just terrible for longevity, spent way too much on recuts over the years so now had them done in OEM shadow chrome with anthracite inners:

Where did you get them done Robbie? I’m sick of the diamond cut wheels on my 440i, they need doing, again.

Odd that my old S3 were fine, never needed refurbishing, perhaps the BMW ones are just worse somehow?

Cracking daily. Do I not like that?! smile

Just got an E36 whilst there are some affordable examples left. A 318is saloon with just 2 owners and 46k miles

The low mileage shows with the interior. No wear on the seat bolster and the headlining hasn't made a break for it.

Those look stunning!

Wifes Z4 has diamond cut - doing that would definitely be an option WHEN they corrode.

Seconded. Was the 18is the one which was actually a 2 litre? 46k at that age, barely run in!

Mt son needs to do the same with the 19" wheels on his 420i Coupe. What did that cost to have done and where was it?

My 2021 330e. First dip into the hybrid world but certainly not my first BMW. I do love this car!
