Washed and polished; oil & fluids checked/topped up where required and all wheels re-torqued ready for tomorrow's road trip across to Sheffield via Snake Pass (passports packed) biggrin

Should be a nice drive of this weather holds.
Was a busy drive over Sam; lots of roadworks and bikers that sped past you at serious speeds, on blind bends.. Bloody stupid TBH - 2 near collisions on front of us and one by the cafe at Ladybower; police bikes were there, so we get held up in that too... rolleyes

Came home via the M1/M62; much easier/smoother and only 17miles further...

That’s a shame.

When it’s clear it’s a great road. It’s hot spot for the police these days unfortunately but that’d because of the brain doners taking liberties.

Nice upgrade. cool

I keep meaning to ditch the RFTs on my E85, but they've got so much tread (I don't cover many miles), it seems v wasteful! I do hear that the difference is genuinely night and day on the Z4 (it made a decent difference on my 630i).
They definitely (or lack thereof) make a big difference.

Like yourself i got rid of them on my 630i but i remember on the Z4 Coupe my wife bought new, we swapped out the RFTs when worn and the difference was amazing.

Yeah; 4 separate sets of roadworks and temp lights; lots of cars parked up along the tops for walkers; bimblers doing 30mph, if you're lucky. Quite a few police cars and x2 unmarked too we saw... So took it easy (had no choice)

Not a road I'm interested in going across again in any hurry TBH

The Z4 has an especially hard ride. And IME these Bridgestone RE050A (which I also had on the E91) aren't the best.

Something to think about for the summer...oh and sort out the roof!

Yeah the Z4 ride is definitely in the firm side of acceptable even with the RFT’s in the bin.

I’m still chasing me tail with the Z4; I’ve replaced the blown fuse in the engine bay box but the check engine light keeps coming on along with the four codes for the O2 sensors.

I think I’m going to have to admit defeat and see if someone can look at it but the usual Indy is booked up until 23rd July!

I had those on my 1 Series and couldn't believe the difference when I swapped them for PS4s. Much better ride but the biggest difference was in traction. That little yellow flashing light I saw a lot with the Bridgestones was conspicuous by its absence with the Michelins.

The initial cold start is ever so slightly lumpy but after a few seconds it’s fine. Hot starts are fine, even with the management light on.

Picked my Z4M Coupe up from Ross at RBM Hampshire after an Inspection 1 service, new front discs, calipers and pads and a new A/C drive belt.

One of the discs had overheated because of a sticking caliper. frown

Not a coil pack on its way out then.

I'm convinced its something to do with the intake manifold side; i.e. where I've been taking parts off. The indy that I spoke to yesterday thinks that there is a slight air leak somewhere but there's nothing that I can see obviously wrong. Hopefully they'll be able to find it easily enough.

Ran them for a while in my E30 M3 race car and they were great. Worked well from cold and were consistent. Not cheap but worth the money.
