There are a couple of small cosmetic scabs and the jacking points were repaired a few years back but, as far as E36's go, it's in remarkably good shape. It's funny how much they've dated. Especially when parked and surrounded by modern stuff. The E36 is so small by comparison. The whole interior is incredibly nice condition. I guess that's from not having anyone sit in there for years at a time? Best of all though, it's a super rare 318is saloon so has a 1,9 twin cam, M sport suspension, M sport steering wheel etc.

Lovely! I didn't know they did a 318is saloon. I had a coupe version many years ago as a second car and it was a cracking thing, while nowhere near as smooth as the six pots it's a nice revvy engine that likes to be thrashed. I remember my boss in BT and i going to test a 318is saloon for him as a company car.
Definitely a rare car now (and was quite rare then!) and that one looks very well preserved!

Bought my Z4 last year and the wheels were in dire need of a refurb, and were running all kinds of odd cheap tyres. Found these on eBay, genuine Z4M wheels, with nearly brand new pilot sport 4’s on, finally got round to fitting them.

Not without its challenges, with the 16 year old locking wheel nut shearing off. Then treated the soft top to a proper scrub, and a quick bath for the rest of it.

It needs a few bits of paint correction, but it’s not looking bad for its 80K miles. This week is MOT time and it’s going to need suspension work doing.

I took my ARDS test in one of those at Brands Hatch and remember thinking how good it drove!

I bought a set and had them refurbed for my Z4 Coupe but for various reasons they never ended up on it.
I put them instead on my 330i, which i think really suited them.

That does look smart on the 330i.
I wasn’t sure if the fit would be any good, but they’re all good with no rubbing. Removing run flats has massively improved the ride quality as well. Given the nearly new tyres, the wheels themselves were basically free, and in pretty good shape with very minor kerb damage.

If you're lucky and have the manual for the radio (or it might be the service book, sorry can't remember), should be printed in there (IIRC on a small card).

I keep meaning to ditch the RFTs on my E85, but they've got so much tread (I don't cover many miles), it seems v wasteful! I do hear that the difference is genuinely night and day on the Z4 (it made a decent difference on my 630i).
