How many weeks has it been since I had the 6 Series sorted?
Parked up at work (staff carpark) and someone has very helpfully reversed into the front left wing. Fortunately they left their details with reception.
*sigh*
What an absolute pisser but at least they left details. Parked up at work (staff carpark) and someone has very helpfully reversed into the front left wing. Fortunately they left their details with reception.
*sigh*
Have they done much damage?

Sucks but good to know human decency still exists.
It was the chap who delivers certain paperwork to the surgery on a daily basis. Left a decent amount of red paint on the 6.I think the majority will polish out but a smart repair may be required. Will have to clean up the area over the weekend and have a good look.

Hopefully it not be too bad after a clean / polish.
I damaged my 140i last week through my own stupidity...bike on the roof and a height restrictor was a bad combo. I missed it trying to get my boy excited for a ride and didn’t spot blue (of all colours) metal against a blue sky. Lead to a shagged bike rack a scuff and a dent in the roof. The scuff has polished out and I’ve got the worst of the dent out but I still need to get the local PDR guy out. I was absolutely fuming.
Fitted my 50th birthday pressie to myself on thursday, never had a personal plate before but i like it.
Also, dropped my Quaife ATB equipped diff off at the transmission specialist to have the bearings replaced........again! He did it a couple of months ago and it only lasted a couple of weeks before developing a different whine. All very strange. Anyway, he's doing it this week and hoping the bearings are faulty so he can send them back and get his money back and compensating for his time.
For the meantime i've fitted an auto diff to my manual so it's quite low geared now, 6th feels like 5th! It does feel perky though!

Finally de-badged it (M140i).
I hated the m/// side/wing badges which always caught on wash mitts / wax aplicator / etc.
The rear M140i badge I was 50/50 on removing, but glad I did, the rear looks so much cleaner and 'balanced' now.
Wish I had done it moons ago now .....
Good work. My least favourite thing about these cars is that they're an M140i. if they were badged as a 140i I wouldn't mind it so much.I hated the m/// side/wing badges which always caught on wash mitts / wax aplicator / etc.

I much prefer them sans the badges. I tend to hate badges anyway.I hated the m/// side/wing badges which always caught on wash mitts / wax aplicator / etc.

Looks well; the E46 is still one of my favourite BMW’s. Oil changed on the X5. Think it sounds quieter now (may be placebo!).
There's a real understated elegance to the E46. I did enjoy owing my 'Shed' 330Ci, my dad is looking after it now.
