Hoping someone can help. As above, one of the keys on my STi has stopped working. Have changed the battery and no joy. It's as if it's lost it's memory.

Has anyone else had this happen and if so what was the remedy?

Cheers

looks like you might need your key re-coding or somethings going wrong in the key itself

Yeah, thanks, I'd worked that much out for myself wink

Can anyone recomend an indy that can re-code the key or am I looking at going to Subaru to get them to do it?

TIA

Do you mean the key, as in it will not start when you put it in the ignition,

or do you mean the buttons, as in they will not open the doors/work the alarm?

The car not starting issue will require a new key to be coded to ypur car by a dealer. They ordr it in and it costs around £70.

The buttons are just a Sigma alarm fob built into the key case and can be reprogrammed in two minutes by using the code in your owners manual/pack and the key pad in the car. This keypad is in the glovebox upto around 2001 and in the cointray from 2001 onwards.
