For what? Cheapness?
GTR V-Spec is the one you want. 2nd hand about £35k-40k. (Non V-spec slightly cheaper.) Difference is minor (well, it might be major, depending on requirements). IIRC the rear diffuser is only available on the V-spec and you get the g-meter (altho you can now download software to 'open up' the g-meter feature )

That explains why the GT-Ts are so cheap then!

Stick with the Vspec. The Mspec is rarer (more expensive) and the suspension is likely to be too soft as the suspension on my Vspec is fine, although it does have lowering springs.
That G meter thing is part of a nismo upgrade for the MFD on the non vspec and requires some hardware to be fitted as well as software.
However GT-T's are much cheaper, depends what you want really.

How does the 4wd feel compared to RWD? (I know its not fulltime 4wd...) I opted for a GTS-T because at least I knew where I stood with the way it works in the wet
V-Specs have a modified LSD, and front and rear diffusers (carbon fibre at the rear) and stiffened suspension over the standard model.
V-Spec IIs have V-Spec upgrades in addition to black cloth seats instead of grey, slightly bigger rear brakes and a carbon fibre bonnet. I think all 100 or so UK R34 GTRs are V-Spec IIs and all have version 2 of the MFD (so have the g-meter), as well as cooling elements on the gearbox and diff (since they are delimited and need to extra cooling for prolonged high-speed cruising).
M-Specs are the 'luxury' version of the GTR and have hand-stitched leather, a more supple ride and a few special pearl colours.
V-Spec II Nur is the top of the range and is basically a V-Spec II with the N1 engine, similar power figures but a lot more robust meaning more tuning potential, and a 300 kph speedo. There's also an M-Spec Nur which has leather and softer suspension. They only made 1000 Nurs and they sell for a premium.
And of course, there's the standard model.
AFAIK no importers are currently bringing in GTRs due to the ESVA changes, so your choice is going to be limited to cars already in the country, at least until a model report is made (3-6 months I was told, assuming it's possible) and even then cars coming in will be limited to un-modified cars

In short, excellent. The older GTRs have earlier versions of the ATESSA 4WD system that take longer to engage the front wheels, but the VSpec version apparently does it in 1/1000th of a second. Great traction and no funny business mid corner.
Also all the 80 official UK cars were Vspecs and imported in 1999 (the VSpec2 didn't come out until later). Not so sure they will be able to import any more R34 GTRs since under ESVA rules they will need to pass current euro emission laws. Apparently something the RB26 wont do without serious modification.
Still someone might get around it.
