Sod saving for a Ferrari or some other brand of European automotove exotica - I'm just gonna get something for the real world...

And it's going to be a Skyline. (Said in true Jeremy Clarkson style).

R32 GTR, I think. Maybe a GTS, but I would imagine the GTR feels just that little bit more special.

It'll take me probably a year or so to raise the cash so by the time I get one I'll probably be 22 with 3 years NCB, which means that (hopefully) I'll just about be able to afford the silly, sky high insurance as well.

Yum.

R32 and R34 were the best shapes IMO.

I would love to, mate - Really and truly!

As it stands at the moment though I don't have a hope in hell of getting insured on one for anything other than craaaaaaaaazy money (although I appreciate that high insurance and petrol bills probably constitute a large part of the "Skyline Ownership Experience" anyway)!

Most likely not.
But if a future meet etc crops up you'd be most welcome to a hoon in the old girl.

I would absolutely love a Skyline, and looked at getting one before I got the GT4. But the insurance is horrific.
I'm 23, with 2 years NCB, no points, on standard R32 GTR, worth £5.5k, I was quoted £3345. Whether that qualifies as silly sky high affordable money, or just plain robbery, I dont know. But I wouldn't pay it.

As for the best looking Skyline, its gotta be the R33. IMO.

Best Looking Skyline

It may appear that I am obsessed with this Skyline. I am not. I just really really want it.

I know a man who just imported a skyline for a friend. He's on his 2nd skyline and about 25 I think. So it's not impossible to get and insure a gts. (Although he did find it difficult to keep his licence I think...)
