Is this the best 5 door hybrid out there? eg - value for money. The standard specification for the T-spirit model is very good comparing the rivals. Ford Econectic, Golf Bluemotion, Honda (something)...

Dad looking to trade in S-Class for something smaller; hybrid and 5 door. But not as big as a Prius.

Any ideas? Advice appreciated greatly

Anyone got one? I know it's hardly a PH car but I've been recently looking for something which is new enough to be still under warranty and well equipped but also cheap to buy and run. This seems to potentially fit the bill...

I'm a Toyota salesman and have one as my company car/demo, I'm obviously a little biased, but I think they are great cars!

We have had a Yaris Hybrid for a few months now, my wife p/xed her 2 litre Beetle for it.
It is deceptively spacious and very comfortable with dual zone air-con. Without trying to drive economically we get 68 mpg all of the time. As a petrol-head I would have never even considered one let alone advise the wife to buy one but having used it a few times to go up the shops and the odd bit of running around I like it despite the fact I was put off by the pious Prius image. I think if you are in the market for a comfortable small car the Yaris is a no brainer it's no road tax compared to £480 for my car and we got a better deal than Fiat or Mini could offer.
When I loose my ability to drive quickly I will have a hybrid.
