Cracking little campers with AWD. I know Type 25's are regularly converted into Synchro's using Subaru drivetrain and brakes.

Spare parts - well, basic service parts can be found on eBay. Other than that my mechanic has managed to match up oil and air filters.
I've not had any need to replace any body parts, however, it's not unusual to see them being broken for parts on the internet. Original Mini chrome bumpers are an near perfect fit - I got a set to change on mine, but decided against it.
The best advice I could give anyone about buying one is too try and see a few, as we found out, there are several different specs of interior, and the quality of the body kit conversion can differ greatly. I think we looked at about 5 before buying our van.
Also, try to make sure the van you buy has had a rear fog lamp fitted. It’s not a major job to install one, but it won’t/shouldn’t pass an MOT without one. The same with rear seatbelts. Some people remove the rear seats (only a 10 min job) before the MOT and fit them back in afterwards. I had a set of 3 point belts professionally installed, as we take the kids in the van a lot.
Our van is now up for sale. so i'll be placing an advert in the classifides when I get a chance - and looking out for a fresh project. Haha.
PM me if anyone would like any more specific info...
Cheers,
Darren.
