Quick Subaru question
Discussion
I'd think that's a bit over the top. My 300ZX (import) used to drink 100 octane fuel in Japan, but is quite happy on Superunleaded only in this country.
I'm sure someone on Scoobynet will set you straight though.
However, you will DEFINATELY pay more for insurance if you go the import route.

I can certainly recommend Cheam Motors - decent main dealer with some very knowledgable guys. Ask for Andy (servicing), Jim (parts) or John (sales). Both my Scoobs have come from there and I would happily go back again.
You'll find that the majority, if not all will be UK cars.
As regards jap imports - ALWAYS run them on SUL (pref something like Optimax) and use an octane booster. You are virtually guaranteed to have serious engine problems if you run a 100 RON jap engine on UK fuel.
Have a look at www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs and use the search facility as you will find the answers to a lot of your questions on there. If you are looking at a jap import, it is worth speaking to specialist such as www.litimports.co.uk

I can definatly reccomend one that you avoid like the plague.
Without upsetting Ted ofcourse.
Errrm, the name has 3 syllables. First syllable is the thing Senna crashed into
Second syllable is what Mafia bosses are called:_ _ _ . Rhymes with gone.
Third syllable is the first three letter word of that famous Bruce Hornsby track _ _ _ it is.
They are situated in a county in the South east which rhymes with BENT.
Enough said I think.

I can't recommend Gatwick Subaru enough. Great guys.
went down to a place in that neck of the woods on saturday. Not Gatwick Subaru or a main dealer, & the yard was full of imports.
let's just say the mileages seemed somewhat at odds with the condition of the cars. hmmm I thought to myself as I jumped in my car and sped off never to return....
Oh yeah, and the tw@t was dissing TVRs.
