www.HondaCRX.co.uk are doing a little fund raising for their server rental and as a result you are ivnited to enter a raffle to win an import Red CRX 1.5x (dual Carb non-vtec... but vtec lookilikey) or if enough tickets are sold (so the pot is bigger) a White Mugen kitted SiR (vtec).

Neither car is exactly mint, but for a fiver a bash, it's gotta be worth it, huh!?

Without wishing to hi-jack the thread, why oh why oh why don't Honda produce a modern version of the CRX?

I know you can get an Intergra via import.....but that's not quite the same.

Back to the thread.....I hope they save the forum!

I may have been being a tad dramatic... I'm sure they will find the dosh if they will start charging a sub or something that. I've just been lucky that the two places I lurk around are both free, until now at least.

The question about re-launching the CRX is a one that is raised time and again on the crx forum.

WE DON'T KNOW WHY THE DON'T, BUT WE ALL WISH THEY WOULD!

I even mentioned the other day on the the "what car you re-introduce" (here) thread a couple of weeks ago, but as usual, was ingored.

There's a better one kicking about the CRX forum somewhere but I can never find it when I'm looking for it and I fear the collected throng tires my posting my own scribbles on here...

...so I won't put those up for now either...

...needless to say I have done loads of "new" Rexxes in idle moments when PH is not available to me.

Go on Mouse - slap some proper pictures up

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic, but I've just clambered out of the heated outside pool of the Finnish resort I'm staying in to find a free PC for brousing PH! Cool or what?

I think that the Honda Insight must have been their attempt at a newer veriosn of the CRX. When I first saw the Insight, I thought it was a CRX with a dodgy Bodyjob.

True...

I seems Honda have polarised their ranges over thre past few years.

By dropping the CRX and Prelude and focussing on the Shopping trollies they seem to have denied themselves the stepping stones from the CTR/ITR/ACR to the more exotic S2000/NSX.

Those who would have ascended this ladder are snapped up by the MR2/Celica and then the brand loyalty to Mr H lost.

Bad marketing IMHO.

Don't know about that - Ive had an MR2 in the past and loved it - but the S2000 that I've got now is definitely better.

I think that if you ascend the ranks to 'Rarri and Porche ownership, then brand loyalty becomes more of an issue, but down the tree somewhat to my little branch, I think that people look around a bit more.

Besides, Toyota don't really make a proper sports car

True... I was thinking about it yesterday, and the closest they came was the Supra, but that got cancelled about the same time as the Prelude.

Guess the Japs had a downer on sports coupes (I use this term advisedly) around the turn of the century. Even the indestructable Skyline's lineage is about to be totally dislocated.

My next stop should be an S2K... I'm hoping.

BRING BACK THE CRX!

I loved my CRX. It was fantastic fun.
(Pic in profile I think).

I read of someone converting one to RWD and fitting an S2000 engine!

Ayone who has one here check all the rear suspension bushes. If they are worn get them changed straight away. It costs £200-£300 including labour but completly changes the handling.

If you have worn ones you will notice that you can slide the back out andd drift corners easily. Once new ones are fitted its glued to the road and is actually a lot more fun.

It's sad how much thinking I do, but as I have been cycling a bit lately, I have has a lot of time to think.

I was considering the RWD CRX possibities the other day and they are there, as is 4wd.

All you need is a scrap Shuttle 4x4 and a shortened propshaft and it's all bolt on then.

Shoe-horning in an F20 would mean modding the front bulkhead and possibley the dash centre section, but as they used to say in CCC, given Time, Money and Application anything can be done!

With you on the bushes too... makes a world of difference, as do good tyres... T1-S's for me.
