Due to the overwhelming urge to buy a new 'toy' (not saying what on this forum! ) I need to sell my trusty old '91 Roadster.

It's 1.6 V-Spec in black, with tan leather, in good condition throughout and with 54k on the clock.

Now I know this isn't necessarily the best time of year for selling, but anyone want to suggest a good asking price.

I have had a quick scan through Autotrader and prices seem to vary a lot.

Auto or Manual? Light weight shortnose crank or not?

Manual. Can't remember the business about the crank... how do I tell 'short' or long' nose?
Few minor trim extras (shiny interior bits).
Other than that fairly standard (orig wheels, no body kit, etc).

The easyest way to tell is to look at the crank pulley and count the slots 4=lwsc more=no lwsc.

Check here for the full details: http://miata.net/garage/crankshaft.html

I reckon £3750 ask £3995. Just my 2p.

Bit optomistic I think Ken. Sold my 1991 Silver car with 70k a few weeks back. Tried for 3995 over the summer, finally put it up for £3250 and got £3k

Holy crap! That is low! I remember that car from your site Jazzy, I would have said it was worth more than 3 bags of sand! Just goes to show that the used car market really is crap at the mo!

It seems like a ship load of roadsters came over early in the summer. There is too much supply at the moment, and it would be difficult to get a decent price that does'nt really stand out.

I'm considering a 2nd car as a daily driver (15mpg hurts the wallet a bit).

Decent '91 1.6 MX5 could be right up my alley. Always fancied one.

And at that sort of money it's an utter steal.
