Anyone driven a 350Z yet?
Discussion
my parents were/are contemplating getting the 350z roadster sometime next year and took them for a test drive some month or so back. all they could say was how much they loved it. from the performance in a straightline and cornering and braking, sounds like a tru mighty beast. specially with that luverly 6 speed....

I will let you know in 3 weeks, when mine arrives.
Girlracer, I'll be very keen to hear your impressions.
I dropped into my nearest dealer yesterday and they aren't even sure when they're getting their showroom display model. They did tell me if I ordered there and then I could still get delivery of one before Christmas, so long as I wanted the GT pack and Rays alloys, as all the cars coming to this country have been specced up with the whole lot.
I'm very tempted but new cars are normally against my religion. I prefer to let other people fund the initial depreciation!
I've had one for about 2 /3 weeks now. Its very nice car all round. Reminds me of a 993 turbo but obvious not the same level of power/acceleration. Its a GT car - pulls hard in 5th and great for covering long distances. In the corners its good too though - enough feedback, and very nice balance. The suspension is just perfect - no roll but enough to soak up the bumps. Acceleration wise its very quick though there's not thump in the back - very linear - so if you want a rush of acceleration (ala turbo) I'd look elsewhere.
Interier is fine and very nice driving position on the whole. I'm still learning what it can do and I've yet to floor it completly as I'm still running it in....

... hello guys popped in from the TVR forum
A friend of mine has a 350Z arriving this month. However she advises that insurance is being a bit of a pain and that Nissan are the only ones she can find to quote. Apparently the quote is pretty high (c.£1200) which is sos becuase she's running a second car for the first time and they won't "match the NCD"
Any help or advise on who you've used to insure these would be most appreciated.
P.S The 350Z is a sexy bit of kit !!!!!

If the other car's over 10 yrs old, she might be able to insure it as a classic and use the NCD on the Zed.
I had a similar problem a few years back. Needed all my NCD to insure my TVR 350i, so put the 2.8 Capri on a classic policy. Beware though, you won't earn any NCD on a classic policy.

I'm paying about 800 quid and I know someone paying about 450 - check out www.350zuk.com/ - there's an insurance thread somewhere with more details......
