Nissan at GFOS
350Z, restored 240Z and a bunch of Z goodies all on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
Nissan is taking its new 350Z sportscar to the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 11 to 13 July. Visitors to the Nissan 350Z area will not only be able to see the new car, but also compare it to its 240Z predecessor and watch it in action on the Supercar Run.
Also up for sale will be 1:43 scale models of the Z priced at £15 each. It’s part of the new Z Collection of merchandise including a leather wallet and CD holder, a cigarette lighter, cufflinks and for Goodwood only, a black cap with the silver ‘Z’ logo.
Further up the price scale, the Z Collection extends to a four piece wine kit in a ‘Z’-branded wooden case, a seven function golf tool and an unusual a glass and metal chess set. Essential items for the Z owner.
The most distinctive item in the Collection is the 350Z watch designed by the same team who penned the car. The three dials on the watch face are modelled on the 350Z’s instrument binnacle and the dial cover is inspired by the car’s door handle. Whether the watch will be fast or not remains to be seen.
One of the highlights of the Nissan stand though will be the 1971 240Z that Nissan GB has had remade to coincide with the launch of the 350Z. The car was painstakingly constructed by craftsmen at the Z Farm in the North East, one of the world’s best known 240Z specialists.

For Christ's sake, no wonder they won't let a Ginetta G4 in.
