Can anyone advise what the differences are between the mk3 MR2 and MR-S?

I know the MR-S is an import which doesn't bother me, but I don't want anything which has a speed limiter etc.

Any advice greatly appreciated. thumbup

Pre Cats, If you get an MR-S get the precats ripped out asap.

Go on a m3 club and search pre cats, world of pain

A speed limiter is easy to get removed.

Mk3's are very slow- would you even notice the 112mph limiter? hehe

I had the pleasure of driving one that had that horrible tip type box. wasn't nioce, but you'd get used to it after a while I suppose. handling felt very nice indeed, and was like a dart, however, the 138 bhp is weak, and perhaps they should have given a 190 option, as in the celica.
The MK2 Turbo is the monster I would have , should both be standard. It has real performance, and very good handling, considering it's weight. get a turbo, or sc kit on the MK3, and it will be the choice for me.

Considering your post appeared right next to that ad for an uber souped up mk3 that could be your answer

I've now searched on the MR2 Roadsters forum and have found an excellent guide to removing the pre-cats with all the whys and wherefores. However, it doesn't seperated between MR2 and MR-S. So is there any difference?

I have found avery promising MR-S locally, but want to make sure there is no performance spec difference first...

Strange I thought only MR-S had precats from the bit of reading when I was thinking of getting one last year?
