A friend and I have been looking at Skyline adverts as he's sort of after one and we have a question:
In a lot of the adverts the interior pictures seem to show a tape player plus room for a double DIN stereo, surely this can't be the case, can it? For example this advert's interior shot seems to show a double DIN aftermarket stereo plus a standard tape player immediately above it, this shows nothing, and this shows a big gap between the aftermarket stereo and the standard tape player!

If what I'm calling a tape player isn't one, could someone please tell us what it is and put us out of our misery!

It's a bit difficult to see what you are talking about from those pictures, but are you mistaking air con controls for an additional head unit?

They all arrive in the UK as standard jap double din stereos. TBH a normalish 4x 50watt system won't cut it either, can't hear mine over the din.

The "tape player" is the aircon

Looks to me like all three have been modified. The standard setup in an R33 GTR (and a GTS-T, I believe) is a single DIN stereo unit on the bottom, the climate controls in the middle, and a set of three guages on top (torque to front wheels, oil temp, and boost).

I know in the GTS it is standrad to have a double din head unit. The climate control is at the top.

This is on R32's and R33's. Unsure on R34's
