Light tuning tips for mx5 2.5?

Hello all,
iv just bought an MX5 mk2.5 it is only the 1.6 as i the insurance was ruthless on the 1.8!
i would like to do some light engine mods but not real sure wot to start with?

any helps a winner!

Light engine mods? I'd not bother with engine, and uprate your brakes with braided hose, and good pads, and some nice suspension. THEN go on to fettle with the engine.

If your bothered about the insurance I would leave it totally standard.
