Anyone ever used these brake pads?

My brakes are shot and I was looking at upgrading (the fade I got on the last Wales meet was terrifying).

Almost everyone on IMOC and MR2OC raves about these, even on stock brake disks. At £100 per axle they are pretty steep, but not that much more than a set of Mintex pads from camskill.

Anyone on here tried them?

Any others that are worth looking into?

Rather to my surprise the people on IMOC don't seem to rate pagid or black diamond equipment too highly for track use. EBC yellowstuff have a good name for themselves but red and green don't. I'm asking because there's a group from MR2OC going to the 'Ring next year and I'd like to join them.

While we're on the subject of brakes - braided hoses for an MR2. Worthwhile? Easy to fit?

How about brake fluid? The lid on the system says 'DOT 3'. I was under the impression that 5 is far superior. Can I get away with it?

1992 rev 2 turbo btw.
Cheers
Al

Sorry Al, but rofl

Cant help with most of the questions, but I fitted braided hoses to my MRT and it made very little difference.

I have my international AA/RAC/Green flag assistance all ready!

Cheers Gaz. I'm only taking it on track once so I think £200 on brake pads might be overkill..

I use carbotech's. I assume you are thinking of the XP+. They are a great street pad.

I have heard good things about the carbotech pads, but not used them myself
