Its pretty grim. Especially as I have an RX7 I need to shift.

Its not really just the jap market though. TVRs seem to have also taken a fairly large hit somewhere recently that I didnt notice. Im sure a lot of other stuff has too.

To be honest I think cars in general are a lot cheaper to buy now than a few years ago. I see loads more M3,s & Porsches than I used to. One thing that doesn’t help is INSURANCE especially on Jap cars( probably on most performance cars) .

The upside is, if you’re a bit older and can get a decent insurance quote you can get a lot of car for the money these days.

The reality is that many iconic jap sports cars are now getting ancient. Cars like the Nissan Skyline R32+, Toyota Supra and Mazda RX7 are now anywhere from 7 to 17+ years old!

Unfortunately the prevailing attitude in the motor trade is anything 5 years plus is a banger. I'm actually surprised that jap cars such as that R32 are still worth so much, same with TVRs. Additionally, most cars of this ilk now have intergalactic mileage and have been thrashed to hell and back.

Fuel consumption is a big factor these days I think. Diesel sales rmain fairly strong in the market aswell as frugal petrol city cars.

As in japan these are such cheap cars now. As they are old.

So it knocks down the price of imports

Silver slut is fine and dandy.

The '2 has had, well, you know, glitches...

Like the odd puncture. The brakes wearing out, the window motor collapsing, the dizzy cap snapping in half. That kinda thing.

Otherwise super.

How's the scooobaru?

Not to pee on chips but it'd need a comp test, coolant pressure test and coolant gas sniff at that mileage on the original engine. At 4k though you can't expect too much - this looks like a bargain but could easily cost 4k on top to sort out the engine...
