Honda NSX - Worth a look ?
Discussion
I currently looking for a new car for just under £20k and I'm considering a Porsche 964, Lotus Esprit GT3 & BMW M Roadster ... but what about the Honda NSX?
How would it compare to the rest with regarding to enjoyment, everyday usability, performance and running costs? Has anyone got one or thought about getting one?
Any ideas or opinions would be gratefully received.

You should get an early one for that sort of money.
How about Impreza P1 ?? www.pistonheads.com/ads/detail.asp?i=8449&sc=ZQ6K&s=179
Just as fast, more exclusive and more head room for taller drivers!!

That's what I used to think, but then they brought out the 2001 model and instantly made the previous incarnation 1 million times more desireable.
What about a TVR Chimaera, Griffith or Cerbera?
Plenty about and £20K will get you a cracking Chim/griff and an older Cerb.
Chances are for £20k an NSX will be well used and tatty TBH.
Of course look at a NSX! I would say that though. It may not be the absolute fastest on paper (0-60) as some newer cars, but everyone that has ever driven mine loves it. As a package of handling, pace etc there's not much to come close.
Running costs are like a Civic. Some parts very expensive, but routine services like any Honda. Only use NSX approved dealers though, and there are only 5 in the UK.
NSXs are rare, only 350 in the UK.
I agree, a £20k may be a bit tatty. A good early one will be more £24-26k, but then you won't lose anything on it.
Look at www.nsxcb.co.uk, for the UK Owners Club (bit of a shabby site, have to plead guilty to that one), and www.daliracing.com, for go faster bits, when you got one.
