I have lexus ls400 93 plate that i've had from new

It not been driven for 2 years.
Someone was telling me u can't start the engine as it may damage the pistons?

Also i was thinking of putting it back on the road, but it needs alot doing - any good specialist jap service centres.

I have managed to rectify the dash board lights from some one as lexus was asking a gob smacking price of more than £1k!!

old stylee of starting,
remove a spark plug and spray alittle oil down the bores
remove main distributor lead (the one in the center) and crank over (won't fire and will only turn over on the starter.
let it turn over a good few times then replace the lead.
let her tick over for a while (she will prob smoke for a while) and gain some heat.
take it out for a steady drive.
It may be worth thinking about a cambelt change prior to starting.
this is all my experiance so do it at your own risk etc.
Cheers

It'd probably be worth changing the oil & filter before you start her up, maybe change the fuel filter and put fresh fuel in via a jerry can?

Thankyou
