Lancer Evolution 5 Insurance
Discussion
OK Perhaps i should have explored the insurance side of things before buying the car. But really, does every EVO driver in the UK pay around 3K a year for fully comp insurance.
I am in no financial position to consider going third party. But with no convictions, 2 years (nearly 3) no claims, aged 27, car has Cat 1 alarm and imobiliser -surely it should be less than that.
What do you guys do?

I recently bought a P1 and had all sorts of insurance fun. I'm 27 living in a nice area with 3 years NCB, the car is unmodified...and no-one would even consider insuring me. Tried Adrian Flux and a load of specialist insurers (from Scoobynet), and then a load of mainstream insurers. Apparently, "underwriters are pulling out of insuring imprezas, we can't find anyone who will accept the risk" or "we will only insure you if you're over 30". The *only* two who would even give me a quote were Admiral and Elephant (the same company basically) who seemed happy to do it for 1700. So I went with them.
