Front mount its for my MX5

GT28 BEGI kit

Got a 5 week wait now for my Alloy rad & new exhaust then its booked in in January to have the Emerald3d, 550cc injectors, map sensor, air intake temp sensor, crank position sensor & wheel, new loom & boost control solinoid fitted & ECU mapped by Dave Walker.

Can't wait

Having it mapped to 260bhp, the kit can provide upto 300bhp but i need a built engine before that. The car will weigh in at 980kg once its all fitted so power to weight of 265bhp/ton

Only about 50bhp per ton better off than a Cayman S

Do you just change the compressor then and not the whole turbo?

I love this sort of thing. Up to 300bhp in a car weighing less than a ton... should go like stink when it's finished!

Is that a complete turbo conversion kit or did you source everything separately?

Its a whole kit US sourced from Bell Engineering, well the mechanical anyway, the ECU is UK. The company that organised it all are www.mx5mad.com

Its a whole turbo just weird angle of photo.

I can see it properly now, when is it being fitted then or are you going to have a go yourself?

Doing the mechanicals myself, then taking it do mx5mad & Dave Walker for electrics & mapping.

So far everything thats bing replaced is off the car and the intercoolers in and some of the replacement coolant pipes are in. Can't proceed with anything else until I drill the sump and i need a 1/2 inch 90degree drill adaptor for that and I can only find 10mm ones so far.

you know I wasn't sure, I was just told GT28, anyway the serial number is 739548-5005

Google tells me from searching this serial number the turbo is a GT2860RS (aka GT28RS, disco potato) (0.64a/r)

Output range 250 - 320 bhp

I thinks its Dave Walker who created Emerald, who better to map your car.
